As you may already know we sadly lost our friend and colleague Dougie Coull after a short battle with cancer. Dougie was a fit guy and enjoyed walking and cycling amongst other things.
Dougie had committed to a '200 mile one day cycle' (As You Do!) with some of his cycling friends, including Adrian Gardner of Double A, so in memory of Dougie his friends Adrian, Simon and Michael are going ahead with the challenge to raise money for ‘Maggies Centres’ who helped to care for him.
The 200 mile bike challenge will take place on Saturday 9th June. Starting and finishing at Double A, the route will take them to Loch Lomond and back. Along the way they will be joined by some of Dougie’s friends, including a few from Double A, who have only recently taken to the bike for a worthy cause.
To cycle 200 miles in a single day is a serious undertaking and none of the guys participating have gone anywhere close to it before – this will be a proper challenge for all taking part.
Thank you to all in advance for any donation large or small – hopefully we can make a difference and reach our target.
A massive good luck to all those taking part and well done for going that extra mile to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.
